FAITH GROWS

DONATE TO FAITH GROWS

God created us for community! It’s in our DNA. Our Creator knows it’s not good for us to be alone. That reality became even more evident after the Fall. As we have discovered over the last few years, it’s not good for us to be alone because the challenges of life in this fallen world can be overwhelming for us at times. We need the Lord and we need each other so we can grow in faith, especially in challenging times!

That’s why Hebrews 10:24-25 provide the Scriptural foundation for our “Faith Grows” campaign:

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

As we live between now and the Last Day when our Lord and Savior Jesus returns in glory, we are encouraged by these verses to gather together, to encourage one another, and to serve together. As we do, “Faith Grows” in us and “Faith Grows” in and through our ministry as we carry out our mission of “inviting people to know Jesus”.

The goal of our “Faith Grows” Campaign is to provide the ministry spaces planned for the second phase of our Church campus and ministry expansion.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW

Our FAITH GROWS capital campaign will include building a new Chapel, Faith Plaza, and Memorial Garden & Columbaria. This campaign will allow us to focus more of our resources on mission and ministry.

Of greater importance is the opportunity to GROW in our lives. What needs your attention? What part of your life needs to growth? Could your personal spiritual life need growth? Perhaps one of your relationships could grow – marriage, friendship, work setting. Over the next three years your church is dedicated to assisting you in this important journey.

Section Title

  • By God's grace, and with the congregation's financial support, the construction of the Chapel and Memorial Garden is scheduled to begin around March 2024. Construction is scheduled to be completed by late Fall of 2024, near the 25th Anniversary of the date our Church was organized (12/31/1998).

Construction of the Courtyard Shade Structure is scheduled to be completed late 2023 or early 2024.

  • It will be a shaded multi-purpose structure that will enable us to make more use of the courtyard area day and night throughout the year. Plans for the shaded structure include lights, fans, heat and audio.

  • The Memorial Garden will contain approximately 400 niches on three walls, with room for more niches as needed. Each niche is 12" W x 12" H x 16" D and is designed to hold two urns. It will also have sections for Memorial Plaques for people who want to remember loved ones who were buried or interred in different places.

  • The price for the niches has not yet been determined. Once we have finalized the Policies and Procedures for reserving niches, and finalized construction costs, we will share the cost of the niches.

  • You can go to the Church Center App on your phone or the website (www.faithlasvegas.org) and sign up in events to indicate on the "Memorial Garden Niches" option that you are interested in learning more.  SIGN UP HERE

  • "Faith Grows" is designed to provide us with opportunities to recommit to gathering together, encouraging one another, and serving together, as well as financially committing to building the next phase of our Church campus so we can continue to move forward in carrying out our Lord's mission.

  • In order to completely build phase 2, about $4.5 million will need to be raised.

  • Yes. Gifts to the campaign will only be used for construction. The daily operations of our ministry will continue to be funded through our offerings.

  • We do not plan to add to current long-term debt. We plan for the "Faith Grows" three-year campaign to provide all the funding needed for this phase of expansion. If it doesn't, we will adjust building plans accordingly.

  • The new Sanctuary will be built in the Phase 3.

  • The Chapel will seat approximately 250 people, including the choir.

  • Yes. We have engaged HouseRight for our AV needs. They are experts who have worked with many congregations throughout the country to provide for their AV needs. We have an audio engineer working with us as well.

  • Yes. In addition to Church-based music events, there is great interest in the Chapel being used as a concert and recital space by students and professionals. The Chapel would be rented out for such events if they align with our mission and scheduled use.

  • With the Chapel, we will be able to add a later Traditional service on Sunday morning. We would also hold Midweek services in the Chapel.

  • Yes, there will certainly be a ceremony, although the date for it hasn't been scheduled yet.
