“Raising Our Faith to New Heights”!
That is what our congregation voted overwhelmingly to do on February 28th after hearing the results of the Feasibility Study for the proposed Family Life Center Expansion. The decision to move forward was based on the fact that the members of Faith Community Lutheran Church showed they were financially committed, through special gifts, to making this expansion happen to benefit our Church and Academy. The Feasibility Study showed gift estimates totally 90% of the $1 million goal for the expansion!
As a result, in a time when many other schools are closing or cutting their programs, Faith Lutheran Academy will have a new room to expand its music and drama program, as well as additional classroom/meeting room space for Spanish and other special classes. In addition, the church will gain a much-needed room for large group gatherings, office space, meeting/classroom space, and a youth room.
Our goal is to begin construction as soon as school ends so that we can get the vast majority of the construction done over the summer. That way, we should be able to minimize disruption to our ministries when the new school year begins next year.
