Faith is in the process of sending 4 people from Faith Community and a consultant, Pastor Jackson Jaylah to Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. The purpose of this initial mission is to assess and lay a firm foundation for future relationships. It is critical in our partnership with Salvation that we first find out how they are reaching out to their community and their relationship with them. We know that in order to best partner with them in reaching lost souls in Liberia and the Philippines we must find out more information about their own ministries, their needs, strengths, weaknesses, leadership as well as the community's needs.
Our prayer is that we will return home with a solid assessment of how Faith can best come alongside them, so that each church will have more relevance within their own community and thereby continue to build God's Kingdom. We do NOT want to be viewed by the mission churches or the community as the hero. The indigenous church must be perceived by the community as having favor with God not the Americans fixing the problems. Before we can send Faith Community's people we need to see who is in the most demand - doctors, electricians, teachers, dentists, business owners, etc.
We pray that we can continue to be blessed in this ministry for many years to come and that everyone who has a passion for these nations will have the opportunity to serve Christ. If we lay a firm foundation now we can best utilize each member when the time is right to invite people to know Jesus in Liberia and the Philippines and.....
