Faith will be collecting gently-used coats, jackets and blankets for the homeless during the month of January through the beginning of Lent. We partner with the Inner-city Ministries who hold a weekly outreach to the homeless where they share the Good News of Jesus Christ as well as essentials such as food, clothing, blanketc/coats in winter and water in summer. We appreciate anything you can do to help them in their mission!
Faith has the awesome opportunity of serving at LVRM the 3rd Sunday of every month. Our next event is Sunday, Jan 17th from 2:30 - 5:30pm. We will have the following responsibilities:
- setup the dining room for the residential meal
- serve dinner to residents
- setup the dining room for the homeless and in-need community
- serve dinner to the community in-need
- light cleanup as time permits
If you are interested in this please contact Linda or 921-2700 or register with the form below.

Giving Gardens
How much difference can a seed make? FLA will support the Giving Gardens project, which can make a world of difference! Our gift to Giving Gardens supports the distribution of climate and cultural appropriate seeds, training, planting and harvesting of gardens in Haiti and other countries around the world. Perhaps the most important gift we are giving is the seed of faith being planted and nurtured through the work of teachers and missionaries.
Every $500 donated to Giving Gardens supports:
- Garden seeds that can produce nutritious vegetables and fruits will feed many families. Vegetables and fruits can transform sick and malnourished children into healthy and energetic boys and girls.
- Surplus food from the gardens is sold to earn money for other kinds of food, for clothing, for medicine and for education.
- Seeds from the produce may be collected and used for the next season’s crop.
- Seeds of faith that are planted in young people through special garden schools, similar to vacation bible school, taught by trained teachers and missionaries.
