FLA students shine the Light of Jesus in Haiti & Liberia
Over $2700 was sent to Giving Gardens which will plant seeds of hope in Haiti both physically and spiritually. This money will help the people in Haiti to plant gardens for nutritious food as well as selling excess for necessities. A VBS program will be established as well to teach the children in the community about Jesus and His awesome love for them.
Over $2700 was also raised to send money to West Africa for the orphans they recently sponsored through our mission church, Salvation Lutheran Church in Monrovia, Liberia. The students have been praying for the orphans since the beginning of the school year and when the means for communication opened up - they quickly went to work to raise money to buy aniamls for the orphans. These animals (cows & pigs) can now be used for milk, breeding and meat.
Praise God!!! over $5500 was raised in just over a month's time. The children were encouraged to work for the money by doing chores, service projects or any other ideas they could use, but they were encouraged not to just ask mom and dad for the money.

God uses FLA to bring sanitation to 300 people in Liberia and supplies to the Philippines!!
The Faith Lutheran Academy students - Caring Kidz - together with families from Faith Community raised over $4000 and split this between the 2 international mission churches we support through finances and prayer: Salvation Lutheran Church in Monrovia, Liberia and Christ Lutheran in the Philippines. We are so delighted to be able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with other nations.
We met our goal and recently 2 toilets and 2water wells for their orphanage and church community were installed. There are many children who were left orphans following the 13 year civil war in Liberia. Up unitl now, proper sanitation and clean water was not available to the church, it's families or the orphans.
Christ Lutheran was able to purchase new white boards, tables and chairs for the students, Sunday School, VBS programs and the various sports camps they host throughout the year. These camps serve as an alternative to the plethora of bad choices youth are faced with on a daily basis. Christ Lutheran is a model for all of the Philippines in their approach to spreading the Gospel through Sports Camps and we are overjoyed to be able to assist them in their mission.

FLA partnered with Lutheran Social Services to share at Thanksgiving!
$1200 in chapel offerings during October and November went to benefit the Lutheran Social Services of Nevada. They in turn were able to supply food baskets to the needy familes of Las Vegas. As the economic turbulence continues so does the need for assistance for many families. We praise God that He moved through our children and families to share the love and mercy of God.

FLA partners in sharing Jesus at Christmas Celebration!
Over $2000 was raised through Christmas programs and chapel offerings in Dec of '09. This money was used to purchase Christmas gifts for impoverished children here in Las Vegas. Not only were gifts given; but, Jesus Christ was shared with each and every person who attended the celebration. This came to about 1,000 children and another 500 adults. Praise God!!
