Enrollment Priorities
2010/2011 ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS AND PRIORITIES
 
 
A student must be 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2010 to be considered for enrollment into indergarten.  Classroom space permitting, applications for enrollment for qualified students will be accepted according to the following priorities:
 
Kindergarten
 
1.      Families who already have siblings enrolled in grades K-5
2.       Active members of Faith’s congregation.  (Member criteria: 1. New member class 2. An official member of Faith Community Lutheran Church for at least 6 months 3. Regular attendance at Worship Service apprx. 3 times per month at (Wed/Sun. services) 4. Contribute regularly to the financial well-being of the Church 5. Actively involved in a ministry outside of Worship.)
3.   Employees
4.   Faith Lutheran Community Preschool students.
5.      Families actively seeking spiritual direction for their lives and actively searching for a church home.
6.      Members of other churches.
 
Grades 1 through 5
 
1.      Families who already have siblings enrolled in grades K-5.
2.       Active members of Faith’s congregation.  (Member criteria: 1. New member class 2. An official member of Faith Community Lutheran Church for at least 6 months 3. Faith Lutheran Academy admits students of any race, religious preference, color, gender, national, or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, program, and activities generally accorded, or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on origin in administration of its educational policies or other school administered programs. Faith Lutheran Academy will evaluate students upon their individual needs, teacher and administrator recommendations, report cards, and standardized tests. Faith Lutheran Academy will also complete additional student evaluations based upon student assessment, Administration/Teacher observation, along with the Parent Interview.
 
 
All things being equal, the Administration of Faith Lutheran Academy, reserves the right to offer student positions based on the balancing of each class from a gender, academic, and behavior composition.
 
Faith Lutheran Academy is operated as an exempt school under the provision of NRS 394.211 and as such is exempt from the provisions of the Private Elementary and Secondary Education Authorization Act.

Required Forms to Submit an Application
for the 2010-2011 School Year
 
If you are interested in submitting an application for the 2010-2011 school year.  We will begin accepting application fromt he open publice beginning February 16, 2010.  If you return on that date, please print the following forms and fax back to Faith Lutheran Academy Attn: Stacey Walter at 702-921-2730.
  1. Kindergarten Application Packet  
  2. Grade 1-5 Application Packet                
  3. A copy of your child's most recent report card.
  4. A copy of your child's most recent standarized test (if applicable).
If you are an Active Church Member (6 months+) or if your child currently has a sibling in the Academy, you can stop by the Academy Office for early Church Member/Sibling Application processing.
 
Once we have received all of your child's paperwork we will place your child in the waiting pool.
